There is not much to add to the particulars of the South Dunedin tragedy already telegraphed^ Thomas Gauc-way, -when formally charged with wife-murder, appeared in Court "with a slight abrasion on one side of his face and a very black eye. The post mortem examination shows that deceased received heavy blows about tho head, presumably with an iron weapon. The base of the skull was badly smashed. Mrs. GaUoway's spectacles and' scissors were found under the front window, .where the grass had been trampled down.
