THE AUCKLAND YACHTING CARNIVAL.
THE SYDNEY BOAT WINS A HANDICAP RACE. [by telegraph— press association.] Auckland, 80th December. In the yacht handicap race to-day Mr. Hordern's Bronzewing IV., of Sydney, won on time allowance by two minutes to spare. Mr. C. Bailey's Laurel passed the line first, Messrs. Logan Bros.'s Mercier second, and Mr. C. Collings's Waitekauri third. This Day. The Bronzewing's allowance was 16min. Bsec, and she won by 3m\n 32£ sec. The Mercier was allotted to scratch, 3min behind the Laurel, which got home first.
