Competitions for the Newtown Club's Dennis Gold Medal, Dewar Bowls, and Subscription Pairs have been drawn as follow : — Gold Medal.— Brackenbridge plays Nancarrow, Richards plays Steele, Blyth plays Morris, Davies plays M'Lean, Swiney plays Bary, Bell plays Prince, Underwood plays Pilcher, Greeks plays Butterworth, Webb plays Brogan, Danks plays M'Eldowney, Gibbes plays Alpe. Dewar Bowls.— Brackenridge, owes 8, plays Hosie ; Prince, owes 5, plays Nancarrow; Underwood, owes 4, plays Greeks ; Blyth, owes 4 T plays Danks; Morris, owes 3, plays Alpe ; Richards, owes 3, plays Bell ; Steele, owes 2, plays Swiney ; Bary, owes 2, plays M'Lean ; M'Eldowney, owes 2, plays GiMbes ; W. Wilson plays Anderson ; Webb plays Brogan ; Reed plays Pilcher ; Davies plays Butterworth ; Green plays Mitchell. Subscription Pairs. — Gibbes and Richards play Mitchell and Brackenridge ; W. Wilson and Priace play Butterworth and Bary; Davies and Blyth play Bell and Nancarrow ; Alpe and' M'Lean play Swiney and Morris. The first round in all events is to be completed on or before the 2nd of January. On Saturday a rink from the Wellington Club "will try conclusions with the Newtown holders of the Edwin Feathers. The Thorndon Club had a challenge in, but gave precedence to the Wellington Club. The scores in one of the rink matches played between Newtown and Wellington on the latter club's green on Saturday afternoon were reversed, and should have read that the rink skipped by Danks (Newtown} beat that skipped by M'Cartby (Wellington) by 26 to 16. The total score was also affected, the match resulting in favour of Newtown by 47 to 34.
