The first round in all events is to be completed on or before the 2nd of January. On Saturday a rink from the Wellington Club "will try conclusions with the Newtown holders of the Edwin Feathers. The Thorndon Club had a challenge in, but gave precedence to the Wellington Club. The scores in one of the rink matches played between Newtown and Wellington on the latter club's green on Saturday afternoon were reversed, and should have read that the rink skipped by Danks (Newtown} beat that skipped by M'Cartby (Wellington) by 26 to 16. The total score was also affected, the match resulting in favour of Newtown by 47 to 34.
