4 SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP. The Rival-Midland heat was continued on the Basin Reserve last night. The Rivals required 342 runs to win. They gave a miserable display of batting, even admitting that the 'wicket played treacherously, and ,at the call of time had lost six wickets for 73 runs. TJpham was well on the spot, capturing four wickets at a cost of 17 runs. The most serviceable batsmen on the Rival side were O'Sullivan (14, not out), Buck 13, and Reid 11. The match will be continued to-morrow night.
