The team chosen to represent Wellington in the Association Tournament at Auckland ib as follows : — Goal, Smith ; backs, Courtney and Shields ; halves, Hoafford. M'Leod, and Abbott; forwards, Hailwood. Fergasson, Ferkina, M'Donald, and Plenderleith. Eeserves- Glover and Hill (forwards), Auld (baok). A meeting of the team is to be held at the Central Hotel ou Thursday night to eleot a captain. Tbe matoh between the Wellington Junior representatives and the team from the Wednesday players i 9 exciting considerable interest. In order that a good seleotion Of the Wednesday players may bo made, it has boen decided to play a matoh Probables v. Possibles at Nowtown to-morrow : —Pro* bables-J. Smith, C. King, Whelan, Mills, Burton, Turner, Arnotfc, Bowman, Bead, Laughton, Martin, Johnson, Hooper, Herbert, Wilkinson. Possibles— Cimino, Billman, Humphreys, Spoers, Lambert, Muir, Sweeney, 8 Whitworth, A. hmith, James, Padney, Worth, Cross, Wallace, and Orrj emergencies, Staples, Pyke, Forrest, and Donald. ' BT TILEGRAPK— P4HBS ASSOCIATION. AuCKtAND, 19th August. D. Gage and W. T. Wynyard left in the Takapnna to overtake the Auckland football team at Dunedin, and play in the remaining matches. Gage goes on to the South by the Corinn* to-morrow. Wyny«rd, who has been ill, will stay in Wellington until the team comes up from the South, and if sufficiently well will play for the Northern raps.
