|BT TKLEQKAPH. — PJIBBH ASSOCIATION.! Cakteetow, 19th August. Last week a petition w»s largely signed in favour of dividing the Cartertoa Borough into wards. A counter-petition is now being circulated, and parties are very evenly divided on the question. (Our Own Corresponeknl.) Cartebton, This Dat. Over 50 shareholders attended the annual meeting of the Dalefielo> Dairy Company last night, Mr. W. Uooth, Chairman, presiding. The balanoe sheet showed splendid results, equal to 3Jd per gallon for milk. It is intended to pay off the original shareholders who are not milk Buppliors out of a speoial fnnd set aside for. that purpose. The faotory opens on the Ist September. Preparations are being mado to receive from 3000 to 4000 gallons of milk. Mastbbton, This Dat Mr. W. H. Soalo, bailiff of the local Court, was seized with a paralytic stroke at noon to-day. Ho is in a serious oondition. -
