The water finally emptied itself in tho - Moselle River at Chatel, eleven miles distant ; from the reservoir J Numerous villages were destroyed, and not a single house remains in Bousey or Darnieulles. ' A few houses are standing at Lei Forges, whioh place was previously inhabited by 1400 people. ' Twenty-nine persons were drowned at Uxeguenoy, and altogether over fifty are drowned.
