CRICKET.
At a meeting of the Star Cricket Club, held last evening, it was decided to again compete for the Junior Cup ; also to make the subscription for the ensuing season 15s for members under 18, and £1 for others. The following are the offloorß elected :—Captain, Mr J. A. B. Howe (re-elected); Vice-Cap-tain, Mr. H. Page ; Management Committee, Messrs Pas ton, M'Bain, Ward, Wilkinson, Howe, Davis, and officers ex officio ; Match Committee, Messrs. Pago, France, and Howe; , Delegates, Messrs. W. A. Paston and H. G. Carman ; Hon. Secretary and Treasurer, Mr. Carman. The lollowing new members were elected:— Messrs. France, Thawley, Sawyer, H. Davis, K. Davis, D. Pas ton, V. Ward, Joyce, Pearoe, and Hill. The annual meeting of the Wellington Cricket Club took place last evening, at the Central Hotel, Mr. C. Pearson presiding. The following new members were elected : — Eev. C. H Tisdall, and Messrs F. S. Courtenay, N. N. Rutherford, L C. Vaugban, E. Howard. E. B. Brooke-Smith, W. B. Jeseop, and Nicol. The report and balance-sheet, of which we have already published a syuopsis.were adopted. The following officers were elected : — President, Mr. H. i). Bell, M.H.B. (re-elected) ; Vine-Presidents, Dr. Collins and Mr. N. W. Werry (re-elected) ; Captain, Mr. A. K. Holdsbip (re-elected); Secretary, Mr. M. F. Luckie ; Treasurer, Mr. A. K. Meek (re-elected); General Committee, Messrs. C. Gore, Wratt, Day, Bethune, and Pearson ; Senior Match Committee, Messrs. C. Gore, Bonaldson, and the Captain (ex officio) ; Junior Match Committee, Messrs. A. E. Meek, Bethune; and Judd ; Delegates to the Wellington Cricket Association, Messrs. Holdship, Luckie, and Meek ; Auditor, Mr. H. F. Gibbons A vote of thanks to the outgoing officers and the Chairman terminated the proceedings. The annual meeting of the Te Aro House Cricket Club was held last night, Mr. Mmm (the Captain) in the chair. It was deoided to open the season with a match at Kilbirnie on Wednesday week, 2Gth iust. Several trophies were promised.
