An inquest was held to-day, lasting over four hours, into the circumstances surrounding the deaths of John William Lußher and Harvey Emerson Kennedy, who were killed I at the Freezing Company's buildings yesI terday. After hearing the evidenoe of several witnesses, the jury brought in a verdict of Accidental Death. The jury was of opinion that the oy Under wbioh burst was faulty in construction, and that Kennedy erred in further testing it after knowing that such "was the oase. It was shown in evidence that the cylinder was made in exact compliance with Kennedy's instructions, the makers not being informed of the purpose to which it was to be put, or the properties of the gas to be used.
