The Customs returns for the December quarter show the great progress being made in the New Plymouth district. The exports for the quarter were valued at against £ 18,956 for the same quarter last year. Imports also more than doubled during the same period. The returns do not include the cargo sent away by the direct steamer Tekoa, which is valued at During last week fully 120 tons of butter were sent away.
