EARTHQUAKE.
Two sharp and distinct shocks of earthquako were recorded by the suismomoter at tho Observatory this moraine The first occurred at four minutes past 8 o'clock, and tho Hecond shock followed immediately. A sovoro and prolonged earthquake shock was felt at 8 o'clock this morning. Nelson, This Day. A severe shook of earthquake was felt here at about 8 o'clock this morning. Christchurch, This Day. A slight shock of earthquako was experienced here shortly after 8 this morning. Its direction appeared to be from south to north. Blenheim, This Day. A shock of oarthquako, short and sharp, was felt here at two minutes after 8 o'clock this morning. Its direction Boomed to be from south-east to north-west.
