The weather was dull for the second day •of the Amateur Athletip < sports, but the attendance was better than on the first day. The Two-mile Walking Handicap was won by J. Way, 250 yds, A. L. Smith, 100 yds, second.- ■ Timer 15min 50""l-5seo. 250 yds Amateur Championship— H. M. Reeves, C.A.A.C, HA. B. Williams, C. A. A.C., 2; P. Wood, C.A.A.C, 3. Beeves led from the start, beating Williams, who ran very gamely, by one and a half yards. Time, 27seo (standard.) Three-mile Bicycle Handicap— C. M. Snckling, Pioneer, 300 yds, 1 ; W. T, M'Kay, Christohurch, 400 yds, 2. 120 yds Hurdle Handicap was won by-'Q. Shaw, 20yds behind. Time, 19 3-ssec. Beeves and Shaw have equal points for the Ladies' Challenge Cup.
