Peculiar revelations were made in a case in Court this morning, when Charles Bartlett was charged on remand with larceny, as a bailee, of JBSO 10s, the property of Keen and Co., in which firm he was a partner. Keen laid the information, bnt, when he was called today, admitted that ho did not wish to proceed with the case, and was aware of what had become of the money alleged to have been given to Bartlett to pay accounts due by I£een & Co. for stores received for a bush-felling contract, and that he had attempted to get away by train from Palmerston to avoid payment. The or editors will probably bring a charge of conapiraoy against the two men. After the evidence of Keen the Bench at once dismissed the oase.
