The market for colonial breadstuffs is flat, and prices are nominal. Adelaide wheat, ex store, 455 ; New Zealand wheat, ex store, 37s 6d to 43s Gd ; Adelaide flour, ex store, 325. The total quantity of wheat afloat for the United Kingdom is 1,790,000 quarters, a decline of 80,000 quarters during the week. Australian tallow is quiet, and prices have further fallen sixpence per cwt. Best beef is to-day at 395, and best mutton at 40s 6d. Australian hides are in good demand, and prices are J of a penny higher. Ottawa, 27th October. The Marquis and Marchioness of Lome have sailed for England, the GovernorGeneralship of the Dominion having been formally assumed by the Marquis of Lansdowne. Constantinople, 27th October. Intelligence is to hand from Sofia that the relations between Russia and Bulgaria, which have for some time past been strained, have now become most unfriendly. The Russian officers who were acting as aides-de-camp to Prince Alexander have been recalled by the Czar. Prince Alexander on his part has dismissed his Minister for War, a Russian, and all the Russian officers in the Bulgarian service, and has furthermore ordered that all Bulgarians now in Russia should forthwith return to their own country.
