In the action for libel brought by Mr. Williams, who waß Minister of Minos in the Berry Administration, against the proprietors of the Argus, a verdict has been returned for the defendants, the jury finding that the comments of the Argus were fair and justifiable. New Zealand feed oatB are unchanged at 3s 4d ; milling oats have advanced to 8b 7d ; wheat is steady at 5s 7d; barley has declined to 4s sd. This Day. The widow of Mr. Bailliere, the publisher, has been awarded .£3092 compensation for the loss of her hußband by the Jolimont railway accident. The Australian cricketers are passengers by the steamship Assam, leaving for Galle to-day. Adelaide, 15th March. At the Police Court to-day Messrs. Hioke, Barber, and Horton were committed for trial on the charge of conspiring to defraud the Mutual Provident Society and the Australian Alliance Company. Sydney, 15 h Maroh.
