Information has been received that five Russian men-of-war will shortly visit the colonies. Two of the vessels are, it is stated, under orderß to proceed direct to Auckland. Stdnet, 18th November. Tobacco (Raven's twist), per lb, Id 6d. Candles (D.R.J.'s). per Ib, 7fd ; D.R.O.'s, 7*d. A serions fire occurred to-day at Messrs. Kingston's drapery warehouse, in GeorgeBtreet. The insurance on the stock and buildings include J2lOOO in New Zealand offices. Three workmen wore suffocated to-day by the fumes from vinegar vats at Monk's works. Adelaide, 18th November. Wheat, per bushel, 53 to 5a Id. The market ia dull. Town flour, per ton, .£l2 ; country branda, <£11 sa. Freight* to the United Kingdom have advanced 23 6d, and are now quoted at 50a from Adelaide, and 52s 6d from outposts. This Dat. The South Australian Parliament has been prorogued.
