SPECIAL TO THE POST. NEW SOUTH WALES REVENUE RETURNS. THE METROPOLITAN HANDICAP. (PBOM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) SIDiJBT, Ist July. The revenue returns for tbe quarter ending the 30th June show receipts amounting to £1,175,000, being an increase of £7000 over the previous quarter. The nett balance consolidated revenue amounts to £3,610,000, and the total expenditure £1,471,000. Chester is the favorite for the Great Metropolitan Handicap at 100 to 7. Soothsayer is being heavily backed at 100 to 5.
