FIRE IN QUEENSTOWN. (from our own correspondent.) [BY TELEGRAPH.]
Qobbn»town, This Day. The office of the Wakatipu Mail newspaper was burnt down at noon on Saturday. Everything was destroyed in a quarter of an hour, nothing at all being saved. A private residence adjoining was saved only by great efforts, alio Echardt's hotel and stables. Tho insurance was very small, Only -£330". All the account ,books wan destroyed; Much sympathy is filt for Mri Wnrreni No worn aid been done in the office since the previous afternoon. No one had boon on the premises, and there had been no fire near the place when tho flames broke out. The cause is unknown.
