Mr. H. M. Hamlin, a relative of Captain Hamlin, was buried yesterday with Masonic, ceremony. He has filled for a numoer of years the office of Native Interpreter. Mr. Ormond has contracted a cancer in the mouth, through smoking a Maori pipe. The immigrants per Hudson have experienced some difficulty in finding employment. Mr. R. Hastwell, of Wairarapa, is here, trying to get assistance from the Government to run coaches to Wellington through the Seventy Mile Bush, by way of Wairarapa. He also intends, if inducement offer", to run a lino of coaches from Napier to Taupo.
