Hickman, of the Porirua Hospital staff, who spent the weekend with her parents, returned north last evening. A month's vacation was spent, accompanied by her sister, Nurse L. Hickman, of Christchurch, in a "hitch-hike" tour of the South Island. Among the many places of interest visited were the Fox and Franz Josef glaciers in South Westland. A pleasant week was spent in the lakes district and from Queenstown a trip by plane was made over the Eglington Valley to Milford Sound, returning by the Homer tunnel route. The girls had much praise for the motoring public who proved to be most courteous in offering lifts.
