DUNSANDEL

The annual prize-giving and service of the Dunsandel and Selwyn Sunday Schools 'was held in the Presbyterian Church on Sunday afternoon. There was a good attendance of children, parents and friends. The Rev. J. W. Hayward, of Christchurch, was the minister. Items given by the pupils included a hymn by the children of the Dunsandel School, a Scripture recitation by the children of the Selwyn School, solos by Thelma Murray and Daphne Caldwell. The collection was* taken up by Jack Stevens, of the Selwyn School. Mr Don. Walker presided at the organ. After the Rev. Hayward's address, the children were presented with their books, each child in both the Sunday Schools receiving one.
