LINCOLN

Very successful and most enjoyable was the first annual ball of the Catholic Parish held on Thursday evening. The Public Hall was beautifully decorated with masses of greenery, green and white streamers arid clusters of balloons. Blogg's Orchestra provided a programme of popular dance music, and the duties of master of ceremonies were well carried out by Mr B. Moran. The winners of novelty dances were:— Lucky spot, Mr C. Woodward and Miss O. Alsop; Monte Carlo, Miss Mildred Greenslade and Mr W. Dodds. Another competition was won by Miss Lorna Larcombe, with Mr Fred Gallagher second. The ladies of the committee provided a delicious*supper which was served at tables in the supper room.
