Masonic.
There has been qmte a stir in masonic circles throughout the district during the past week, on the occasion of the annual installations of officers in the various lodges. K.W. Bio J. A. Kirby, P.G. Supt., and Bro, H. Lippert, acting G.D.C. (re* presenting the Grand Lodge), were the installing officers. They left Dunedin last Monday morning, and installed the Naseby Lodge officers the same evening. ALEXANDRA. , On Tuesday afternoon they arrived, in Alexandra, and, assisted by W.M. Bros, Hinchliffe and Boyd, installed the following officers of Lod.e Manu® herikia Kilwinning ;—VV M, Bro T P Beck; I PM, Bro J Boyd,;. SW, Bro D McMath; J W, Bro Robert Strong; Treasurer, Bio L Cards; Secretary, Bro J G Closs; SD, Bro J D Thomson ; J D, Bro L Ander» son ; IG, Bro G Spencer; Stewards, Bros. C Nieper and W Pacey ; Tyler, Bro J Baker. After the ceremony, the brethren adjourned to the Library, where a most sumptuous repast was partaken of, which was laid out in Host Geddes’s best style. A few hours were enjoy ably spent, and toasts ap» prepriate to the occasion were proposed and responded to with masonic honors, CROMWELL. On Wednesday the installing officers went on to Cromwell ard the same evening the following were installed officers of Lodge Cromwell Kilwinning ; —WM, Bro W Pell; W Bro T Looney ; JW, Pro G A Morri ; J n, Bro W A H Sob ih ; S»er. tan, Bio M Wishart; Treasmei, Bio Jis Horn . 1 G, Bro W D Jolly; Tyle , Bro J J JHaliday ; Siewaids. Bios J Lichaids and L» McPherson ; Dep. Master, Bro S Paden. CLYDE. Yesterday afternoon the Grand Lodge ifficers attended the Dui siau Lodge, and the following were installed officers fur the ermine term : WM, Bro Robt. McMtckine; 3 PM. Bro G W Hincblifte; S W, Bro J D Buchanan; J W, Bro J G Byde; Tieasurer, Bro J Bodkin; Secielary, Bio T Beveridge; S D, Bro J D Thomson; J D, Bro J McKnight; 1 G, bio S McKnight; Stewards, Bros W Pitches and J Smart; Tyler, Bro H Faulds. ~ P M Bro W.
