Mr Beattie, who officiated, apologised for the absence of the Rev. J. Lothian, who had wired his regret at nt bring able to be present. During the evening several musical selections (sacred) were rendered by the choir, and considering the shorttime the members had for practice they sang very nicely. ■ Before making the presentation Mr Beattie said :—Ladies and gentlemen, the object of our meeting tonight is to present. The call wns most aladly responded to, for one and all felt that Miss Nicolson well deserved a reward for her untiring efforts for the welfare of the church.
