THE GOVERNMENT AND THE TELEGRAPHISTS.
[TO THE EDITOBI]
Sib, —In my judgmoiS -jon have missed one of the probable reasons why fhs Government, by the hand of Mr Ward, himdelf a telegraphist, have caused the messenger boys to be given lessons iv telegraphy. That reason, t think, ia that Mr Ward contemplates some move Ji'e believes will ba so distasteful to the telegraphist.* as to prompt resistance. In that case b reserve of messenger boys would be handy ?—I am, <$c, Steaiqht Wibb.
