A six-roomed houso atßoslyu oAvned and occupied by Mr AVilliam Barnes, avus totally destroyed by tiro last night. The orign is unknoAvn. The houso avus insured for £ 150.

The parsonage of All Saints Church at Gladstone aviis burned down shortly before 4 o'clock this morning. The building was occupied by Mr Gurr, late head master of tho central school, aud his family, who had barely timo to escape in safety. Nothing avus saved but the piano and a little clothing. The furniture avus insured for £150 in tho Hamburg - Magdcburgh office, and the house, which contained eight rooms, for £300 in tho Liverpool London and Globe offico and £200 in the North British office Nothing is known as to to the origin of the fire.
