TIMARU.

September 28. A man named Jeffrey Robinson has been found drowned in tbe Saltwater Creek. His clothes were lying on the bank. At the inquest a verdict of " found drowned" was returned. He was about 50 years of age, and lately worked as a shepherd.

A settler named William Leisham fell between a railway carriage and the platform at the Winchester station last evening, and got terribly crushed from the thighs downwards. His injuries are believed to be very serions.
