PRINCE OF WALES THEATRE.
At the above jplace of amusement last evening, tho pieces selected for the- performance, were the London comedy of "The Liar," the musical vaudevlle of " Jenny Lind," and the farce entitled "The Lottery Tiofcet." Neither Mrs. Heir nor Mr. Carey—tho two leading members of the Star Company —appeared in any of the above pieces, -and aa might b& expected the theatre was not very well tilled. Indeed, this is generally the c»«e the night after any special performauce, and. as there w&3 a crowded house on Wednesday evening, it was not to be expected that there would be a very large audience laßt night, and the pieces performed were consequently very light. Inthefirat piece, "The Liar," the different parts were very well sustained, especially by Meisrs. Hydes and Kemp, and Miss Shepparde »nd Miss Montrose. "Jenny Lind" elicited considerable amusement, and the last piece, "The Lottery Ticket," drew down- continued laughter from 'the audience Two very spirited dances were executed between the first ftndjsecond pieces by Mesdemoiselles G-reenless and Brown, To-night, the celebrated play of " The Stranger" i* announced for performance, M<s. Heir and, Mr. Carey sustaining the leading characters.
