FENIAN HOAX AT VANCOUVER ISLAND.

The Bulletin has the following telegram : — Victoria, March 7. Tbe excitement caused by the threatened Fenian invasion still continues. Her Majesty's gunboat ' Forward' has been moored in this harbour, and a large number of marines placed on board of her. The powder magazine opposite the city, and the different eugine-houses, are strongly guarded. The Volunteers have received orders to hold them* selves in readiness in case their services should be requ<red, and every precaution has been taken to secure tbe safety of the city. The nature of the startling information received is only known to the authorities, but the general impression prevails that they have been badly hoaxed.
