Port Of Greymouth Dominion Special Service. GREYMOUTH, October 19. The port ef Greymouth resumed normal working this morning following a substantial improvement in the deptfy of the bar as the result of an eight-knot fresh after prolonged rain. After soundings had revealed a depth of 17 feet on the inner bar and 12 feet on. the outer, coincident with a marked abatement of the recent heavy seas, the Port Waikato sailed for Wellington with timber after being tied up for four days and the Poolta also sailed for Napier. Following a delay in the roadstead, the Kartigi, which is lifting 2000 tons of coal for the Auckland gasworks and 5000 posts, berthed this morning with the ,Karu, which is loading timber for Wellington. The Kartiki is expected to sail on tomorrow night’s tide. The Rata, to load for Oastlecliff, had to sail to Westport for bunkers early this morning, but she is returning this evening and should leave again tomorrow night with SOO tons of coal. The weather continues unsettled and high seas may possibly- recur in the near future. WESTPORT SAILINGS (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WESTPORT, October .19. Following a good run in the river all the coal-laden shipping sailed and three others have arrived iu port.
