Citizens’ Day Nurseries
.Sir, —The report of work of the Citizens’ Day Nurseries, which appears in today's “Dominion,” is partly inaccurate; I refer to the statement: “"he present property was acquired by effort of the present committee, and converted into comfortable home,” etc. In fairness to many supporters of the work of this organization, it is necessary to point out that it was the directors of the Smith Family who made it possible for the Citizens' Day Nurseries to acquire and completely renovate their rooms in Vivian Street. The Smith Family actually paid over to the Citizens’ Day Nurseries committee the sum of almost £lBOO. which enabled them to purchase the property and enter into a contract for renovating same. As our organization is an anonymous body, and is only known to the public in the trail of good causes we support as we journey along in helping others, we feel in all fairness bound to correct the statement referred to above. — I am, etc., CHAIRMAN SMITH, N.Z. Smith Family Joyspreaders (Inc.). Wellington, August 18.
