U.S. Executives And War Contractors WASHINGTON. April 16. At tr session of the Naval Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives today, Mr. Edmund Toluud, committee counsel, submitted figures to the House Naval Affairs Committee, showing increased annual emoluments from 1938 to 1940 ranging to 375 per cent, for executive and war contractors, including William Knudsen, former president of General Motors, from 193,713 dollars in 1938 to 299,881' in 1939. He quoted the following figures from 1938 to 1939:—Charles Wilson, vice-president of General Motors, 74,157 to 135,000 dollars; Eugene Grace. Betlileham Steel, 557,396 to 776,258 dollars; J. 11. McCoy, vice-president of Dupont de Nemours Company, 45,000 to 213,813 dollars; R. 11. Morse, president of Fairbanks Morse, 60,260 id 120,700 dollars; Donald Douglas, president of Douglas Aircraft, 43,433 to 75,080 dollars.
