Papier Mache Workers
Papier mache workers in Wellington have moved to a new address at 21 Courtenay Place as the rooms in Kelvin Chambers were no longer available. The new premises have been a scene of great activity during the lust fortnight as helpers prepared the rooms for carrying on this important patriotic work. All old friends and new are invited to visit the new depot, which is most spacious.
Every type of papier maebe is on display and many new ideas are available for Ute utilization of waste. Toys and games and an assortment of useful tinware made from discarded tins are shown. This art is taught by a. woman who is expert at wielding a hammer and a soldering iron and it is hoped that many men as well as women will take advantage of tills opportunity to extend their knowledge so that should the ’necessity arise they will be able to contrive from waste things which would be a necessity. A display of papier mache articles and tinware has been placed in a shop window at. 21 Courtenay I’lrtce and the public is invited to enter and view further samples and be conducted over the new central depot.
