Annual Meeting Held

The animal meeting of the Wellington Braille Club was held recently, Mrs. Israel presiding. There was a good attendance of members and students .Mrs. Israel was re-elected president. Mrs. Boyd, who resigned from the office of honorary secretary, and treasurer, received a travelling case as a gift from the club in recognition ol her services. Miss Moginie was elected to till the vacancy, the remainder of the committee being re-elected. The annual bridge drive was discussed. Mrs. Boyd and Miss Bill Van •Staveren again agreeing to organize tin? effort. Results are to lie in by (he cud of May. Mrs. Israel reminded members of the importance of being conversant with their manuals ami primers. She ptlid :< tribute to Mrs. Gordon's work in connexion witli the shellacking and binding sections and asked for new members and students Io join up for this work. II was reported Hull Mrs. Lees had taken up the management of the correspondence section. Those present stood in silence as a mark ol respect to the memory of the late Mr. Tltyime, who bad given generous help Io the club.
