ORDER OF ST. JOHN

Annual Church Parade Yesterday being the nearest Sunday to St. John’s Day, June 24, the annual church parade of the Wellilngton Corps of the St John Ambulance Brigade Overseas was held in St. Peter’s Church, Willis Street, last night. There was a splendid atendance of .more than 440. ' Sir-James Elliott, Knight of Grace, represented the Commandery. Others present included the Assistant Commissioner, Mr. W. W. Dutton, Mrs. Barltrop, Lady District Superintendent, Mr. J. Hislop, District Superintendent, Mr. F. W. Ward, formerly Wellington District Commissioner and Mr. A. O. Richardson, a Serving Brother of St. John. The parade, which consisted of members of the Ambulance Division, the Nursing Division, ambulance and nursing cadets, was in charge of Corps Superintendent V. Boesley. The members assembled in the parish hall and then marched to tbe church where the -banners were placed on the altar. The lessons were read by Sir James Elliott and Mr. Dutton and the preacher, the Ven. Archdeacon Bullock, delivered a special sermon on the Good Samaritan. Members of the Roman Catholic Church marched to the Buckle Street Church. After the service, the parade was congratulated by Mr. Dutton on its smart appearanec and the excellent attendance.
