GUILD ACTIVITIES

Masterton Townswomen A meeting of rhe Masterton Townswomen’s Guild was held this week. Mrs. E. J. Burke presided, and expressed sympathy with those who had relatives serving with the forces overseas posted as missing. A fair amount was raised by voluntary contributions toward the A.N.A. Club in Wellington. The guild representatives on the Red Cross committee, Mesdames Lyttle and Copp, appealed for pyjama cords, and thanked members for their contribution of linen to the society. Mrs. W. Judd, the representative on the patriotic committee, gave her report and stated that the quota of bussifs and -150 mittens were made. Talks were given by Mrs. J. Robertson and by Miss Jane Hall, Wellington, who recently arrived from England and who spoke briefly on her war experiences.
