Valley Reception

The Hutt Valley Queen in the Victory Queen Carnival, Mrs. E. T. W. Love, was hostess at a reception held at Te Tatau O Te Po, the Maori Hall at Lower Hutt, last night. Mrs. Love

The evening’s entertainment included songs and dances by Mrs. Love’s fellow-countrymen, and typical of the Cook Islands. The guests included Mrs. P. Fraser, wife of the Prime Minister, the Hon. F. Langstone, the mayor of LotVer Hutt, Mr. J. W. Andrews, and Mrs. Andrews, the deputy-mayor of Petone, Mr. J. C. Burns and Mrs. Burns, and the five Wellington queens —-Mrs. Ben Fuller, Sister Mahoney and Misses Paddy Hope-Gibbons, Joan Young, and Patricia Lucky were also among those present.
