Little Hope Of Rescue Dominion Special Service. HAWERA, January 31. Though police were still patrolling tlie beaches today, little hope is held out that Mr. and Mrs. C. Oakes, who have been adrift on a raft off the Taranaki coast since Jlonday evening last, will be rescued. Mr. and Mrs. Oakes, who were only recently married, pul out on Monday (•veiling to lest :i new raft as a fishing craft. They were lightly clad, and carried n<> food of any kind, but are tielimed to have taken a fishing line with them. Search from ilie air has been abandoned.
