State Never To Be Re-established PRESENT FRONTIER FINAL

The German Governor in Poland, Herr Frank, in a speech at Cracow said Germany would never allow the re-establishment of the Polish State. “The present frontier defining the spheres of influence of Germany and the Soviet is final, he said.
Herr Frank denied rumours that Germany intended to cede Polish territory to Russia. Thirty thousand Germans arc reported to be installed in occupied Poland to assure German influence.
USE OF HEAVY BOMB

LONDON, August 22.
It was stated in Berlin that the German Air Force is using a 1000-kilo-gram (about one ton) bomb which resembles an aerial torpedo and that this probably accounts for London reports of the use of an aerial torpedo. [lt was reported in London on Wednesday that in a raid on the previous night .a bomb presumed to be an aerial torpedo, converted eight workmen s houses in a south-east town into a huge crater and damaged other houses.] A German communique states: • During air reconnaissances over Britain on Wednesday, numerous . industrial plants, harbours, railway lines and J-> aerodromes were attacked with good results. Hits by bombs were observed over industrial plants at Skegness, Great. Yarmouth, Whitby, Coventry, and Bournemouth, and also harbour installations at Bridlington. “A docked ship was bombed in the Southhampton dockyard, and a merchantman was badly damaged by bombs during an attack on a co “ v °y * east coast of England. Our bombers made an effective night attack on aeroplane factories south-east of London, in addition to an armament factory near Brighton. The enemy yesterday lost seven planes.
