This photograph, taken during an R.A.F. attack, shows the emplacement of some German guns on the cliffs near Calais which were not given a chance to take part in the shelling reported today. The photograph shows a bomb bursting on the edge of the cliff. The next one scored a direct hit, wrecking the emplacement and the guns.
