As in the case of the other awards made by (he Court of Arbitration since August !), the Dominion award for biscuit and confectionery workers, wdiich iias now been issued, includes a provision that nil rates of remuneration provide! for shall be subject to the General Order increasing the rates by 5 per vent. In his memorandum Mr. Justice lyndall states that the only matter referred to the Court for settlement related to. under-rate workers. In other respects the award embodies the recommendations arrived at in conciliation council. Il is Honour points out that the provision regarding the application of the General Order does not affect the right of any .party to apply for exemption from the provisions of the order.
