German Patrols Repulsed On West Front (British Official Wireloss.) (Received March 17, 7.5 p.m.) RUGBY, March 16. A French official evening communique reports activity by both Allied and German artillery in the region of the Saar. Our outposts repelled enemy patrols west of the Vosges. There was some firing along the Rhine. The War Office stated that reports that special Easter leave to Paris is being given to the B.E.F. were untrue No leave other than the normal sixmonthly leave was being given.
