This year, however, Aramoho, who were second to New South Wales at the New Zealand centennial championships, will represent Wanganui. In a recent test on the Wanganui River, Aramoho in a much inferior boat, beat Wanganui Union over a two-niilc course and thus earned the right Io compete at the eight-oared championships. The judges for the race will be Messrs. W. J. Gaudin, D. R. Menzies and A. Mack, the starter Mr. M. A. Turner, and the umpire, Mr. C. E. Bridge. Mr. A. Ross will be the New Zealand Rowing Council representative. A special train will follow the race, which is timed to start at 10 a.m. The procedure is that one train will leave from I’etone and another from Wellington. They will meet at Ngahauranga and be joined into one train. Because of lack of support, th© North v. South Island race lias been cancelled.
