ANNUAL GARDEN PARTY
Women's National Reserve To Benefit Tlie Khandallah-Ngaio branch of tlie Women’s National Reserve chose a perfect day for their annual garden party yesterday, held at the home of the president, Airs. A. B. Gibbons. The party was highly successful, and the large number of visitors who attended spent a most enjoyable time strolling about admiring the lovely flowers and the enchanting vistas. Airs. Gibbons, who received, wore a. handsome frock of striped voile, and a picture hat. A delightful home-made afternoon tea was served by her energetic committee, comprising Alesdames R. E. Gibbous, W. H. Gledhill, F. Porteous, 11. Heays, F. Bailey, Cox, A. McNeil, J. B. Lea, Alax Plimmer, S. Peterson, A. Green, A. Seed, G. Laurenson, G. Swan. Huffam, McGill-Nutt, and Noel Kinvig. Competitions were won by Alesdames C. Alonro, R. Gibbous, F. Peterson, Kinvig. AVilderniotli (Christchurch) and 0. Kember. The following committee members donated tlie prizes: Alesdames A. B. Gibbons, AV. IL Gledhill. S. Peterson, F. Bailey, G. Swan, A. AlcNell, J. B. Lea and F. Porteous. There were a number of stalls, and the produce stall was an outstanding success.
