POPULAR HOMEWOOD

Open To The Public Again From Today Two thousand five hundred AVelliugton residents and visitors from other centres took advantage of tlie generous hospitality offered by Air. and Airs. B. Sutherland at the weekend when the beautiful gardens of Homewood were again throwu open to the public to assist the Plunket Society. The weather was perfect for seeing the grounds at their best, and the visitors took great delight in the many attractions. The invitation to play tennis and swim in the spacious pool was fully appreciated and taken advantage of by tlie guests, and others spent their time inspecting the large aviaries, the conservatories and ferneries, and tlte wonderful display of exotic blooms in the begonia house.

The popularity of Homewood is so wide that Air. and Airs. Sutherland have announced that the gardens will again be open from today till Thursday. .March 1-1, from 9 a.tn. to 5 p.in. On Saturday and Sunday aflernoon tea and biscuits will be served, and the small entrance fee will again provide votes for the army queen in the Plunket Society's queen carnival.
