Remarkable Freedom From Injuries
£2OO AHEAD OF EXPENSES SO FAR By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. SYDNEY, August 9. The All Blacks arrived from Brisbane last night and will leave for Canberra this afternoon. They will train each day at Canberra for the third Test and again at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Friday. The All Blacks have enjoyed remarkable freedom from injuries during the tour, and there was not one casualty when the team arrived from Brisbane. » One of the ,co-managers, Dr. G. J. Adams, warmly praised the play of the Australian team in the second Test and added: “I believe that Rugby Union football in Australia has a bright future. The Australian team did a really fine job against what I consider to be one of the best teams that have ever left New Zealand.” The president of the New South ■Wales Rugby Union, Mr. W. W. Hill, stated that the estimated cost of the All Blacks’ visit was about £2500 and the union was about £2OO ahead of expenses at present. At a meeting last night the New South Wales Union decided to cable congratulations to the New Zealand union on its team retaining the Bledisloe Cup.
