Dominion Special Service. Wanganui, May 25. A good yarding of fats, bulb beef and mutton, came forward at tbe Wanganui sale. Prime ewes were on a par with last, week, but. unfinished and light sheep were easier. N'o store sheep were yarded. A heavy entry of fat cattle made prices hardly up to last week, but the easing was very slight. What, few pens of store cattle were yarded sold well. Fat pigs were fully firm on last week, with a good sale for all store pigs. A light enry of vealers sold well. Following are the realisations :—
Sheep: Prime wethers 25/6 to 28/-: prime ewes 22/6 to 24/6. fair 20/- to 21/-. light and unfinished 16/6 to 19/6: fat lambs 20/- to 22/6, light 16/- to 19/3. Cattle: Fat Hereford cows_£7 to £7 15/-: fat Holstein cows £6/5/- to £6 17/6; prime Jersey heifers £6 to £6 15?-; fat Jersey cows £5/10/- to £6/5/-, light £4/5/- to £5/5/-; P.A. three-year steers £7/15/-, rising two-year £6/2/6, heifers £4/7/-; P.A. empty cows £4/5/-; Hereford £4/7/-; P.A. weaner heifers £2 12/- to £2/18/-: cows in full milk to £B, close to profit £B/15/- to £9/10/-. Pigs: Light choppers £2/5/-: heavy porkers 42/- to 47/-, good 35?- to 40/-, average 28/- to 33/-. light 26/- to 27/6; small stores 20/- to 23/6; good slips 16/t:o 19/-; weaners 8/- to 10/-, small 4/- to £6/6/-. Vealers: Runners £3/12/- to £4/6/-; good vealers £2/15/- to £3/10/-, light £2 to £2/10/-.
