WEDNESDAY CLOSING AT EASTBOURNE
It took the Eastbourne Borough Council two minutes last night to Wednesday as the weekly-half-holiday. The mayor, Mr. E. W. Wise, in reply to Cr. M. E. Magill, said there had been uo representations from the commercial community this year. Last yenr l ; ie majority of business people felt that the borough being differently situated to others, they would be at a loss if Saturday were chosen. Wednesday closing appeared to suit. them.
