Present Food Prices at Wellington There has been little change in the prices of foodstuffs in Wellington shops during the week. Grocery and provision prioes remain steady, the only change being in the price of eggs which has decreased by twopence. A grade eggs are now selling at 2/4 a dozen. Following is the range of prices:— Fruit and Vegetables. Apples.—Delicious, 6/- to 8/6; Sturmers, 5/- to 8/6; Washington, 4/- to 6/6; Granny Smith, 6/6 to 8/-; Jonathan, 6/- to 6/9; passion-fruit, 12/- to 17/6; lemons, 10/-; pears, Keiffers, 8/to 10/-; Winter Cole, 10/- to 12/-; tree tomatoes, 10/-; Chinese gooseberries, 5/to 6/7; poorman oranges, 9/- to 10/-; pineapples, 18/- to 21/-.
