GOOD PROGRESS
Alicetown Women’s Club Reviews Its Year At the recent annual meeting of the Alicetown Women’s Club, the report presented by the secretary, Mrs. Bathurst, disclosed that good progress had been made during the year. All meetings had been well attended, indicating that interest had been sustained. A pleasing feature was the marked increase in membership. The treasurer and librarian's report, also that of the drama circle, were considered most satisfactory.
The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mrs. Ashforth; vice-presidents, Mesdames Kay, and Longhurst; secretary, Mrs. Bathurst; assistant secretary, Mrs. Simon: treasurer. Mrs. Mouat; librarian. Mrs. Napier; committee, Mesdames D. Annear, Bel_L Bryan. Edmonds, Lawrence. Milsom, E. Wilson, and P. Wilson.
The president and secretary were presented with gifts on behalf of the committee. A presentation was also made to Mrs. Vinsen, convener of the drama circle.
Mrs. Millar, Wellington, gave two interesting demonstrations —crochet gloves with tatting gauntlets, and papier maehe work. Mrs. Millar was thanked and presented with a spray of flowers. Mrs. Robbins was the winner of the competition.
